About us

Lillehammer Fjellstue og Hytteutleie is owned and operated by the Haslev Martinsen family. The family has been part of the tourism industry since the early days of the small mountain hamlet of Nordseter and has been running Lillehammer Fjellstue for 30 years as of 2024. Currently, three generations of the Haslev Martinsen family work with us.

We have chosen a lifestyle that brings us joy, and we hope and strive for our guests to feel that as well.

We warmly welcome you with all our hearts.

Our front desk

Our reception is located in the main building near the top of Nordseter, on the left side of the road. Here, you can check in and out. We also have a small kiosk offering hot and cold drinks, sweet treats, basic hygiene items, snacks, and chocolate. You’ll also find updated weather forecasts, an overview of groomed trails, and waxing tips for the day.

In our lounges, you can enjoy peace and quiet with a good book, play board games, or simply do nothing. The fireplace lounge is a Wi-Fi-free zone, but in our Krogene Lounge, you can use your laptop and log in.

Every evening after dinner service in the winter, we offer free coffee and tea to our dinner guests in the fireplace lounge.

Our philosophy

As a family born and raised at Nordseter since the 1940s, we have a deep and heartfelt connection to our small mountain hamlet. We greatly value the natural peace and tranquility that Nordseter offers, and at our mountain lodge, we strive to preserve and share the atmosphere as it was in the old days.

Familie

Our vision and core values

We aim to be the natural hub of Nordseter for all seasons, driven by dedication and personalized service, based on our five key values: Family Business, Nature, Well-being, Peace and Tranquility and Belief in Nordseter's Future while preserving and sharing the story of Nordseter's past.

We work daily to take care of the environment, and in collaboration with Green Key we will contribute to a greener everyday life. Some of the measures we work on are collecting rainwater for watering plants, reducing the use of plastic, waste management, we are aware of what kind of cleaning agents we use, and we work to reduce food waste. With us, you can get to the front door without bringing your own car.

By car: Drive to Lillehammer and from there up to Nordseter. Nordseter is located approx. 20 minutes from the center of Lillehammer. Follow the signs for Nordseter from Lillehammer, and drive up the mountain via Nordsetervegen. The road is well maintained, even in winter, and has great viewpoints along the way.

By public transport: From Lillehammer you can take a bus directly to Nordseter several times a day during the winter season. The bus corresponds with the trains from Oslo and Trondheim, which makes the journey easy and stress-free for those who come by public transport. The bus stops right outside our place, at the stop "Nordseter Fjellhytter".
