Try Dog Sledding with Robust Troll Carts!
Experience dog sledding with eager Alaskan Huskies—a truly amazing way to connect with nature and animals. Most people associate dog sledding with winter and snow, but it’s just as fun on dry land, and the dogs perform the same job. You’ll have your own team and drive it yourself, with us leading the way and providing instructions. If needed, or if you prefer, you can also ride as a passenger.
The tours are by request, as it’s important that the weather is cool enough. In summer, we run evening tours at Hornsjø on a beautiful route along the old farm road. From mid-September, we can usually offer daytime tours, and starting mid-October, we move to idyllic forest trails near Åsmarka/Næroset, not far from the kennel. This area is more sheltered than the mountains, and we stay here until the snow arrives.
The experience concludes with bread-on-a-stick baking and hot drinks by the campfire.
Note: The total tour distance is 16 km. If you’re a group of at least four people, there’s an option to split the tour in two, driving 8 km each for half price.
